With humble beginnings in 1984, Joe Grande's passion for cars ignited a groundbreaking journey in the automotive leasing industry. As a car leasing pioneer, he transformed his vision into reality, establishing a business renowned for excellence. Together with his sons, Nick and Peter, Joe navigated the evolving landscape by building relationships, expanding the GNL network nation-wide, achieving remarkable milestones and setting new standards.
Forty years later, Nick and Peter decided to take a leap and launched GNL Classics, their passion project in the making for many years. In Nick’s own words, “This is the most exciting project I have been involved in. Many different entrepreneurial endeavours for Peter and I over the years however this one has the most passion and excitement. You got it Pontiac!!!”
GNL Classics brings together F-Body enthusiasts and admirers of classic cars from all over. This unique gathering celebrates the timeless beauty of iconic designs and the exceptional craftsmanship that has defined automotive history.
Nick and Peter’s love for classic cars began early, inspired by their father Joe’s own deep appreciation for vintage automobiles. Growing up, the brothers would spend PA days at GNL immersed in a world of chrome bumpers, polished fenders, and the unmistakable character of classic cars. Whether they were detailing a ’67 Mustang or riding along with Joe to view a collector’s latest find, those moments left a lasting impression.
It wasn’t just about the cars, though—it was about the stories they told. Joe helped his sons see that every classic car had a soul, a history, and an owner who cherished it. As they worked side by side, Nick and Peter saw how Joe treated each client with respect and genuine interest, never rushing, always listening. He believed that while cars were the product, the real business was built on trust and relationships.
Detailing became more than just a chore—it was an education. Nick and Peter developed a deep, hands-on knowledge of vintage models, learning to identify rare trims, original paint codes, and iconic design elements. They admired the craftsmanship of earlier eras and gained a real sense of what made a classic truly special—not just in condition, but in emotional value.
As they got older, both brothers continued to work in the clean-up department while in school, each finding their place in the family business. Nick divided his time between the shop and the office, gradually taking on a broader role. Peter gravitated toward marketing and streamlining internal systems. Joe encouraged their individual interests, knowing their shared love of classic cars would always be at the heart of their contributions to the business.
